Trevor M. Keyes
President & CEO
Mr. Keyes started his career at Bay Future in 2011 and has held multiple positions in the organization over that time including the role of acting interim president & CEO of Bay Future, Inc. from July 2013 through January 2015. He is currently the President & CEO of Bay Future, Inc., responsible for leading Business Retention, Expansion and Attraction in all of Bay County as well as the municipalities therein, along with communications, marketing, and branding. Bay Future is a public private partnership and nonprofit economic development organization focused on helping to create quality jobs for community residents and responsible for helping companies facilitate growth through investment in Bay County.
Mr. Keyes is responsible not only for managing the day to day operations of the organization but also the completion of successful multi-million dollar economic development projects, retaining investment in the organization and the community, as well as coordinating strategic visioning with the BFI Board of Directors.
Mr. Keyes holds numerous board seats on area nonprofit boards including the Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance (Board and Executive Committee), Bay City Players, and C.C. Advising. He is the former President of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassadors Club and Vice President of the Bay City Player’s Board of Directors. He is a member of Michigan Economic Developers Association, International Economic Development Council, Bay Area Energize Young Professionals Network, Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance Ambassadors Group and the Great Lakes Bay Economics Club. He is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Bay County and a 2014 graduate of the Great Lakes Bay Regional Institute for Leaders.
Mr. Keyes graduated Cum Laude from Bay City Central High School and received his BA from Michigan State University. He also received the Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification in September of 2017 from the National Development Council (NDC). Born and raised in Bay City, he loves his community and gives back in every way possible. His favorite thing to do in Bay County is to relax and recreate in or around the Saginaw Bay and its tributaries with his wife, Rachel.
