Dana Muscott

Dana works for the City of Bay City as the City Manager. She served as Deputy City Manager for the City of Bay City for thirteen years. She began her employment with the City of Bay City in 2000 as City Clerk and was promoted to the Deputy City Manager position in 2004. She worked for Saginaw Charter Township as Deputy City Clerk prior to coming to Bay City. After attending Michigan State University, Dana obtained her Master Municipal Clerk status in 2005 and in 2014 earned the prestigious Certified Michigan Municipal Clerk status. Dana was elected as President for the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks in 2008 and is also the Past President of the Bay County Clerks. Dana is a graduate of Leadership Saginaw County and the Great Lakes Bay Region Leadership Institute. Dana also served as Chairwoman for the Board of Christian Life for Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Saginaw and the PTO at Valley Lutheran High School. Dana is a Certified Public Manager through Saginaw Valley University and a graduate of the Henry Marsh Institute for Public Policy at SVSU. She volunteers for many organizations.

Dana was the Clerk of the Year through the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerks in 2015.

Dana lives in Freeland and has been married for 24 years to Chris, and has 2 sons, Cody, 22, and Connor, 18.
